About the Date Shuffle
What is it?
Have you ever been in a dating situation and had no clue what you and your date should do? We've all been there - whether it be a first date or a married couple keeping the fire going. You want to be creative, impress your date, and have a good time. However, many of us get caught in the same routine and dates are no longer special or we are simply at a loss for ideas.
The Date Shuffle is two-fold...
First is a deck of (poker size) cards that represent 50 different restaurants across the city. For each restaurant, we have designed a special "date package" including a fixed-price menu and "VIP" treatments for couples. These cards can be used among friends, serial daters, and serious couples alike. On each card we offer a few dating ideas and tips to help you plan your date. The decks are a great icebreaker to approach someone and ask them on a date - it is an interesting spin to the process. And with the VIP offers, you will be sure to impress your date! However, we can only help you get started - you must give your date a reason to see you again after the meal!
The second piece of the Date Shuffle is an online network that connects singles (and even couples) with others in the area. We are not a dating service. We don't try to match you with others based on a long list of dimensions or make you take hours to fill out your profile. We focus more on the food side of things and activities to try and connect people to become friends. We're not saying you won't find your true love, but we'd like you to make a lot of friends along the way! We make it pretty easy and give you the ability to search by interests, types of food, restaurants, and more.
Who is the Date Shuffle for?
The cards in the deck are designed around a "couple". Now, that simply means 2 people - they could be just friends, dating, or married. The online network is built so that singles and couples can post profiles and connect with people who have similar interests. Now, you might be thinking "why would couples post a profile on a dating website?" and that is a good question. Our thought is that couples may want to find other couples for double dates.
Why would I use the Date Shuffle?
In a nutshell, the Date Shuffle is all about having a great dating experience, starting with your meal. We want to help set the tone for the rest of the date by giving you an opportunity to be wined and dined at an excellent restaurant. And as we said, this is not just limited to singles - it is a great excuse for couples to continue "dating" and deepen their relationship.
